ブルセラ症と人獣共通結核は、WHOの忘れられた顧みられない人獣共通感染症である。これら疾病は世界で最も広くまん延する人獣共通感染症の代表でもある。これらの慢性的疾患はセクター間連携が十分でなく、被害の実態が把握できておらず、また公的資金が十分でない開発途上国で放置されている。
本コースでは、タンザニア共和国で実施中の地球規模課題対応国際科学技術協力プログラム（SATREPS）「ワンヘルス・教育・官民連携による顧みられない人獣共通感染症介入の共同デザインに関する研究開発」のフィールド活動に大学院生が参加する。参加者はフィールド調査、関係者とのディスカッション等の実体験を通して、持続可能な人獣共通感染症制御について学ぶ。
Brucellosis and zoonotic tuberculosis are the WHO forgotten neglected zoonoses. These are the ones of the most prevalent zoonoses in the world. These diseases are left behind in developing countries because sectoral collaborations are not enough, the magnitude of disease burden is not known well, and public funds for control is limited.
In this course, graduate students will participate in the field activities of “the Project for Co-designing Neglected Zoonosis Intervention through One Health, Education, and Public-private Partnership” under the JICA/AMED Science and Technology Research Partnership for Sustainable Development (SATRPS) in the United Republic of Tanzania. The participants will learn sustainable zoonoses control through real experiences such as field survey and discussions with stakeholders.
